The substances may be abused in a sequential, alternating, or concurrent pattern.

Treatment for Polysubstance Abuse

Treatment for polysubstance dependence and abuse requires medical supervision because the patient may experience a mix of withdrawal symptoms depending on the substances they developed physical dependence on in their addiction.
